The former site of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee is located in a quiet courtyard amidst the bustling city of Guiyang. With cobblestone embankments and willows draping the banks, a small two-story building with gray walls and black tiles sits at the center of the courtyard. Upon entering the exhibition hall, visitors are greeted with sculptures of revolutionary figures such as Lin Qing and Qin Tianzhen. Moving further into the hall, graphics and artifacts vividly depict the intense and fiery history of battle.

The establishment of the Provincial Committee was a significant event in the history of the Communist Party in Guizhou. It was the only provincial-level local organization approved by the Central Committee during the Long March, a period when the Chinese Revolution was at its lowest ebb. Since then, Guiyang, located in the heart of Guizhou, has opened a new and most important chapter in the history of the Party in the province. Under the leadership of the Provincial Committee, revolutionary activities flourished vigorously.

At its inception, the Guizhou Provincial Committee carried significant responsibilities, from secretly escorting the central representative Pan Han Nian to providing accurate intelligence to support the Central Red Army’s successful strategic maneuvers across the Chishui River. From Lin Qing, the steadfast and loyal secretary of the Provincial Committee, to the martyrs Zhang Luping and Du Rong, who pursued truth and encouraged each other, vowing to fight for the communist cause to the end… all are brilliant constellations in the red cultural sky of Guizhou and Guiyang.
