Located in Datong Town, Chishui City, Guizhou Province, Sidonggou is an essential part of the Chishui National Key Scenic Area, just 15 kilometers away from the urban area. It has been hailed by the State Council’s Tourism Resources Inspection Team as the “Garden of Ten Thousand Bamboos,” the “Little Jade,” and a “scenic spot without flaws”.

The scenic area spans approximately four kilometers along a mountain stream, where four-tiered waterfalls are arranged at roughly equal distances, including the Huaping Waterfall, forming the image of Chishui’s “City of a Thousand Waterfalls.” These waterfalls are each around forty meters wide, with a drop of nearly fifty meters, boasting diverse forms and charming beauty.

The peaks in the scenic area are picturesque, with lush bamboo groves in the valley bottoms and verdant forests covering the mountainsides. Along the creek, the bizarre Danxia rock formations dot the landscape, and rare plants like the national first-level protected species Alsophila spinulosa are abundant. Visitors can also explore cultural landmarks like the exquisitely carved Zhengshi Archway and the Cailun Papermaking Workshop, as well as marvel at natural wonders like the Shixiang Mountain and the Duxian Bridge.
