The Wumengshan Bridge is a key project of the Nayong-Qinglong Expressway, with a main span of 270 meters, a left span length of 491.5 meters, and a right span length of 511.5 meters. Upon completion, it will become the world’s first large-span steel truss-concrete composite arch bridge, forming a construction technology system for mountainous large-span steel truss-concrete composite arch bridges, promoting the application of steel truss-concrete composite arch bridges in mountainous areas, enriching the bridge structure types for spans of 200 meters to 400 meters, and becoming a landmark bridge in China.

The bridge spans the Azhi River canyon and the slopes on both sides. The bridge design takes into account the terrain, geological conditions, and unstable rock zones at the bridge site, proposing a new bridge structure that is lightweight, stable, durable, and safe for construction in special environments.

The Wumengshan Bridge promotes the application of this type of composite arch bridge in mountainous areas, enriches the bridge structure types for spans of 200 meters to 400 meters, and will become a landmark bridge in China. Additionally, as a key project of the Nayong-Qinglong Expressway, it will significantly improve the transportation layout of Guizhou Province and promote tourism and socio-economic development in the southwestern region.
