The Dafaqu Grand Bridge is 1,427 meters long, 33 meters wide, 280 meters high, with a main span of 410 meters. It is an upper bearing steel tube concrete arch bridge and a key project of the Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway. Its main arch has a maximum hoisting weight of 240 tons, and the total weight of the bridge surpasses that of the world’s largest span steel tube concrete arch bridge, Jingda Bridge, making it the widest bridge of its type currently completed. In December 2022, the Dafaqu Grand Bridge was opened to traffic, reducing the travel time from Zunyi to Renhuai from 90 minutes to 30 minutes, greatly facilitating the travel of residents along the route.

The Dafaqu Grand Bridge is located in a strategic position in a canyon, with steep terrain on both sides and a relative elevation difference of about 500 meters. At the beginning of the design, the design team evaluated various bridge types and ultimately adapted to local conditions by choosing an upper bearing steel tube concrete arch bridge. The bright red arch spans green mountains and waters, resembling a dragon emerging from the sea, perfectly integrating with the surrounding environment.

In Tuanjie Village, Bozhou District, the project company built the Dafaqu toll station, and after exiting the expressway, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the Dafaqu scenic area. The travel time from Tuanjie Village to Zunyi City has been reduced from 2 hours to 20 minutes. With the convenience brought by the Dafaqu Grand Bridge, Tuanjie Village has vigorously developed industries such as medicinal herbs, organic rice, and premium fruits. Tourism projects such as homestays, camping, and agro-tourism bases have also emerged.
