In Guizhou, you will experience green mountains and lush rivers and the hospitality of the locals. You might feel that you are in a piece of ancient poems or a scroll of ink wash painting. Indeed, much of what you might see or feel may be the same as that which inspired ancient poets or scholars to create with their brush.

In 2016, The New York Times selected Guizhou as one of the 52 places around the world that are worth visiting. In the same year, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee designated Guizhou as one of the top 10 travel destinations in the world. The Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou was listed by the US National Geographic as one of the 28 must-visit places for 2019. Recently, Lonely Planet, the largest private travel guide magazine, published its list of the best travel destinations in the world for 2020, and Guizhou is the only Chinese province listed.

From 2021 to 2025, Guizhou will increase its focus on tourism, and make itself a natural park with distinctive and authentic attractions. Here you can relax in natural hot springs, experience nature through zipline courses, or take a walk on the streets through its burgeoning nightlife. Infrastructure will be made more available for international visitors as they come for vacations or relaxation. Guizhou hopes to build itself as China’s fisrt-class travel destinations for resort and recreation, and treat all visitors with beautiful scenery, clear air, delicious cuisine, and peace of mind.

Guizhou will seek more friends from the world, to tell the world China’s story and Guizhou’s story. Guizhou’s Department of Information has just launched its international flagship project “Live in Guizhou”, which is hosted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Weibo, Wechat platform, Baidu, and other social media platforms. The project regularly updates information about the province in English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Korean and Chinese for all who cannot yet come themselves. But don’t take anyone’s words for it, come and experience the living, breathing environment and culture yourselves.
Come live in Guizhou, and live the stories you hear!
